Assemblage

<p><strong><em>Assemblage</em></strong> is a two-volume exploration of the recent work of Quebec-based Atelier Pierre Thibault. Through a practice spanning residences, cultural buildings, educational spaces, and landscape interventions, the firm develops architectures grounded in careful observation and an iterative drawing process. Thibault is known for his watercolours, sketches, and notational writing, which form an integral part of his design method.</p><p>The two volumes document more than a decade of Atelier Pierre Thibault’s work and method through drawings, models, photography, and texts. They reveal a practice shaped by walking, observing, sketching, and building—an architecture that emerges from close attention to landscape, climate, and the lived experience of place. They weave atmospheric imagery with precise documentation, highlighting the continuum between intuition and construction.
