Shibata profile line contact tip on a boron cantilever (I think) but most importantly I really do think this is the best 600Euro cartridge around. VERY high resolution and fantastic control across the audio band. Our everyday test cartridges are the Ortofon MC ANNA, EMT JSD6, Ortofon A90 (Paratrace Tip) Audio Technica ART9 and I think I will add the new AT33SA to this list. It plays full bandwidth (extended hf) all the way to the last track unlike many cartridges in this price range and that Shibata profile is AMAZING. In addition to its superior high-range performance as a line-contact stylus, the Shibata stylus produces mid and bass sound that is strong and rich. The structure of this product ensures a clear and smooth sound.
