Bob Dylan The Bootleg Series Vol. 9: The Witmark Demos 19621964 2CD

Volum 9 i Bob Dylans fantastiske bootlegserie består av 47 låter, utgitt nesten 50 år etter at de ble innspilt. Stort sett er det His Bobness alene med gitar og munnspill, en gang i blant akkompagnert av et piano. Låtene ble innspilt for hans to første musikkforlag, Leeds Music og M. Witmark & Sons, i perioden 1962 - 1964, og mange av låtene finnes i andre innspillinger på Dylans egne album, mens 15 av dem aldri har blitt offisielt utgitt før. Av uutgitte godbiter finner vi klagesangen "Ballad For A Friend", borgerrettsinspirerte "Long Ago, Far Away" og "The Death Of Emmett Till", samt den gripende "Guess I'm Doing Fine". Innspillingene på The Witmark Demos gjør det samtidig mulig å spore Dylans dramatiske vekst som låtskriver fra tidlige, tradisjonelle låter som "Man On The Street" til de sosiale kommentarene i "Blowin' In The Wind" og "Masters Of War", pluss hans banebrytende genistrek "Mr. Tambourine Man".
