Brilliant Activities for Reading Comprehension (3rd edition) is a 6-book series containing engaging, enjoyable texts and activities to help primary school children to develop their reading comprehension skills and foster a love of reading.The Year 1 book begins with simple picture comprehension passages. The passages gradually increase in difficulty as you progress through the book and through the series, encouraging children to develop their ability to read for meaning and use a range of strategies to engage with the text.Throughout the series, pupils are exposed to a range of genres, from newspaper articles and descriptive reports, to plays, stories and poems.
