Tony Richardson's beautifully lensed biodrama casts Mick Jagger as the legendary late-19th-century Irish-Australian bushranger. In response to the crown's harassment of his Catholic family, Kelly forms a gang of similarly disaffected rebels and leads them on an audacious and violent crime spree.
