<p>In 2002, Larry Levin and his twelve-year-old sons, Dan and Noah, took their elderly cat to the vet to be put to sleep. Yet what began as one of the family''s saddest days took a sharp turn for the better when the oddest-looking dog they had ever seen bounded across the waiting room into their arms.
