John Burningham wrote over sixty books in his lifetime, including; Avocado Baby, Borka, Husherbye and Airmiles – he often collaborated with his wife and fellow illustrator, Helen Oxenbury and provided the illustrations for Ian Fleming's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He was a two time Kate Greenaway Medal winner.
