Strength from Within

<p>There is no end in sight to the frequency with which health care providers become lawsuit targets in our litigious society.</p><p>While politicians, practitioners, insurance companies and trial attorneys debate the nation''s "malpractice crisis", suits continue to be filed. In addition, now that  COVID-19 is behind us and the unprecedented public support for health care providers has waned, , it is anticipated that physicians and nurses will again become malpractice defendants to a remarkable degree.  In fact,  the post COVID-19 uptick in lawsuits against medical and nursing professionals will continue for the foreseeable future.  A complete review of all that a physician or nurse can expect to happen after being named a defendant in a medical malpractice matter and all that will be expected of that practitioner to assist in the action''s defense through trial. The purpose of this book is to educate the clinician as to the litigation process and to help the practitioner cope under typically trying circumstances.</p><p>Ultimately, the book will serve to strengthen the clinician when feelings of weakness, doubt, frustration and anger surface.</p>
