Toward a Secret Sky

"This enlightening book is geared toward aspiring pilgrims who seek encouragement in following their commitment to a spiritual path, whether in the traditional sense — to a holy shrine, for example — or metaphorically, as a transformational psychological process. As Eastern practices have made their way into the West, many serious seekers and practitioners are women who have the freedom to devote their lives to a spiritual undertaking. These modern pilgrims not only seek a spirituality that allows their female wisdom to shine, they are motivated to challenge their thinking and to open themselves to new experiences that foster growth.Psychotherapist and yoga instructor Kim Roberts acts as a friendly guide, helping readers discover their own way and explaining that an authentic path to enlightenment will not follow any set of rules or regulations and will be different for each person. There is no right or wrong, no quick and easy path free of obstacles. In fact, working through the stumbling blocks characterizes the journey itself. In Toward a Secret Sky, Roberts shares lessons learned and offers guidance in the form of meditation and writing exercises and calls to action that anyone can tailor to their own experiences."
