Blackwattle Lake

A farm full of memories. A heart full of regrets. A journey she never expected. For Eve Nicholls, returning to Blackwattle Lake is like stepping into a life she’s tried hard to forget. The horses still graze the paddocks, but the farmhouse is empty—echoing with memories she has long buried. Armed with her loyal kelpie, Banjo, and a bottle of bourbon, Eve’s plan is simple: sell the farm, pocket the money and never look back. But within days, ghosts of her old life resurface—the uncle who can’t forgive, the ex who’s moved on and the best friend he moved on with. As she sorts through her childhood home, Eve unearths more than just dusty relics. She uncovers the girl she used to be and the painful truth of why she left in the first place. When fresh tragedy strikes, Eve must decide if she can finally face the past she’s been running from. If you love emotionally rich stories about coming home, confronting the past and finding strength in unexpected places, you’ll be captivated by Blackwattle Lake.
