Convective Heat and Mass Transfer

Convective Heat and Mass Transfer, Third Edition serves as the basis for a semester-level graduate course dealing with the theory and practice of convection heat and mass transfer. It examines mass transfer in a systematic way, alongside heat transfer, by taking advantage of the similarity between convective transport of heat and mass. The new edition has been updated with numerous new solved examples and homework problems across all chapters, as well as up-to-date coverage of flow and heat transfer in microsystems, turbulence, and diffusive transport of microparticles. It introduces classical derivations while maintaining a balance between mathematical rigor and applications-oriented methods. It also includes an in-depth discussion of diffusive and convective transport of microparticles and nanofluids. This book is intended for graduate mechanical and chemical engineering students taking a Convective Heat and Mass Transfer or Advanced Heat Transfer course. Instructors will have access to an online Solutions Manual and Figure Slides to support their course delivery.
