In the fall of 2007, a 26-year old Cologne-based producer by the name of Daso Franke released his 12" for Ghostly's Spectral Sound label. The A-side was "Meine," a euphoric eight-minute ascent that delighted dancefloors worldwide. Since then, the single has become something of a classic.Earlier this year, Resident Advisor called "Meine" one of the best songs of the century so far.In April of 2018, Franke passed away after a long bout with cancer. With his family's support and fan demand, we are making the Meine Idee EP available again in memory of Daso's musical legacy.Resident Advisor continues: "It's unbelievably positive, which explains why it was a Panorama Bar favourite for years. In the final moments of his life, Daso's friends played "Meine" from a stereo in the corner of his hospital room. It was the only way."Daso possessed a unique gift for graceful melody, and the Meine Idee EP captures a moment when it shone brilliantly. His music will live on.
