Emerging from London new wavers Tubeway Army, Gary Numan became a defining figure of late 70s synth-driven pop. He famously scored an enduring hit with 'Cars' and shaped a stark, electronic aesthetic that rippled across following generations. After temporarily stepping back from touring in 1981, he returned with a broadened palette that drew on funk and jazz fusion, culminating in 1983's Warriors. This live recording captures his 15 October 1983 performance at Hammersmith Odeon as part of what was a triumphant UK tour. Balancing early classics with newer material, the set finds Numan recharged, rather theatrical and commanding form while delivering a performance of great precision and atmosphere.
