Domestic Architecture And The Use Of Space

This text investigates the relationship between the built environment and the organization of space. The contributors are classical and prehistoric archaeologists, anthropologists, and architects, who form their different backgrounds are able to provide some important and original insights into this relationship. They explore the fundamental role of culture as expressed in technology, symbolism, sociopolitical organization and economics, and draw on case studies from past and present groups in North America, South America, Africa, and elsewhere.
