Their loving bond is found in everything from early morning birthday wakeup calls to late night movie marathons, dance contests, and the most unhealthy midnight snacks. And even though Lorelai’s relationship with her parents may be strained at times, they are still bound by love and Friday Night Dinners.

But the Gilmore girls have another family that they found in a picturesque little town many miles—and maybe even an entire world—away from the place Lorelai was raised. From Sookie and Lane, to Babette and Miss Patty, and especially including Luke, this family has impacted the lives of the Gilmore girls in so many ways. They may be a little quirkier than the aunts and uncles and cousins that Lorelai grew up with, but they have filled Rory’s childhood and both of their lives with interesting characters, unique experiences, and lots and lots of love.
