Her Roots Reclaimed

In 16th Century England, Thea Green's neighbours have always found her odd, eyeing her sidelong and whispering "witch" behind her back. When her family takes in a man left to die in the street, a connection unlike any other snaps into place. As he recovers in their care, Thea finally learns what it means to find a kindred spirit, and a quiet love blossoms between them. But when they elope in the night to marry within a circle of ancient yew trees, Thea's life is set on a different course. Centuries later, she walks the world alone, searching for others who are like her: immortal. The problem is, every time she thinks she's found one, they disappear. Moments from being bundled into an unmarked van herself, Thea is rescued by a tattooed stranger who knows exactly where the others have been taken. What they don't know yet, is that Thea has already met the one responsible, centuries before. Past and present collide when Thea must decide which is most important:herlife, orherpeople? Both will cost her, but which one is worth the price?
