Little Grey Fox is a parent child therapeutic story base on Dyadic Developmental Practice. It explores feelings of shame through Little Grey Fox.” As humans we are driven to be connected to others and simultaneously driven to not be hurt by others When the people we expect to connect with us feel hurt, our response may be to increase control of the people and the environment around us, or we may withdraw, lose our voice and attempt quiet avoidance. The book aims to capture the complexity of developmental trauma as well as the shame that is the product of rejection and hurt. The hope is that the book is an experiential read that will talk to us whatever our roots about the shame of not belonging.
