Mathematics for Optimal Decision Making and Applications: A Deterministic Approach

This book offers a simplified straightforward approach to understanding the theories, methods, and algorithms of several management problems to model, optimally solve, and analyze practical cases. Through the seven chapters, the book elucidates the subjects in three units, which are the decisions based on linear programming, nonlinear programming, and network models. This book contains numerous examples and unsolved end-chapter problems with answers to selected problems at the end of the chapters. A separate chapter for applications from different management fields is given at the end of the book. To aid students and readers in practicing the given optimal solution methods, a special set of MATLAB functions is used to validate this assistance.
