Pivot Points for Higher Education Leaders

As universities and colleges face unprecedented restrictions, policy changes, manipulation, questions of relevancy, and tumultuous funding, education leaders need to pivot and act quickly. Pivot Points for Higher Education Leaders is a practical guidebook that distills best practices to support every facet of an institution. Over 100 pivot points are offered in the text, providing clarity, options, and examples that deans and chancellors can use to transform their institutions, granting campuses the opportunity to thrive through adversity. The book addresses the whole campus, provides an aligned assessment, and highlights the need to scan our institutions for possible shifts in approach. Examining every aspect of our campuses is essential to amplify student success, build employee communities, leverage resources, foster equity, increase access, and redirect the narrow traditional focal points to include all students of any background. It is time for higher education entities to pivot and reinvent the campus in the ways that best reflect the values, goals, and missions of each institution. It is time for colleges and universities to utilize the current state of adversity for growth and renewal. It is time to pivot.
