The feature directing debut of veteran music supervisor Alex Steyermark, and based on Cheri Lovedog’s autobiographical play, Prey for Rock & Roll is a powerfully authentic portrayal of DIY rock bands, with Gershon singing all the film’s songs herself (produced by Stephen Trask of Hedwig and the Angry Inch fame and backed by an all-star band of women alt-rockers). A film ahead of its time, it has established itself as an LGBTQ+ touchstone and a rock and roll cult classic.
