The Blind Side (2009) + Going The Distance (2010)

Biopic 'The Blind Side' (2009), based on the book 'The Blind Side - Evolution of a Game' by Michael Lewis, tells the true story of American football star Michael Oher. The homeless son of a crack addict, over-sized black teenager Michael Oher is taken in by the wealthy white Tuohy family after Leigh Anne Tuohy finds him wandering the bitterly cold streets of Memphis wearing only a thin T-shirt. The Tuohys hire a private tutor, Miss Sue, to help Michael with his studies at the mostly white Wingate Christian High School, but it is on the football field that he really excels. As Michael is given the opportunity to fulfil his potential both on and off the football field, his presence in the Tuohys' lives leads them to valuable self-discoveries of their own.In romantic comedy 'Going the Distance' (2010) Erin and Garrett meet on a blind date but they both know that they don't want a serious relationship; after all, Erin is leaving town in only six weeks' time. Vowing to keep things light, the two embark on a fun short-term fling, hampered only by the antics of Garrett's eccentric roommate.
