The book was written by volunteers from all over the world, of various ages and backgrounds: developers, journalists, modders, critics, scholars, and fans, as well as parents, couples, grandfathers, doctors, teachers, engineers, businessmen, and more.The purpose of the project is to share our passion for this incredible genre, spreading knowledge that is currently scattered across numerous forums, magazines, websites, and minds. The book covers CRPGs from 1975 to 2015, and includes several articles, mod recommendations, developer quotes, and interesting trivia, aiming to create a guide that will offer something for both old-school veterans and new players alike.
