The Mother Of Darkness

With The Mother of Darkness, Belgium’s Possession descends further into the abyss of archaic blackened death metal. The album channels a suffocating atmosphere of ritualistic violence and occult fervor, fusing relentless riffing with cavernous depth and unrestrained aggression. Rooted in the traditions of early European black/death, yet sharpened with modern intensity, The Mother of Darkness stands as a ferocious invocation of chaos and spiritual desecration.Uncompromising in tone and execution, the record rejects polish in favor of raw force and oppressive density. Blasphemous themes, suffocating ambience, and razor-edged guitars converge into a work that feels both ceremonial and violently immediate.
