Veronika Fischer Veronika Fischer Band Vinyl

With "Veronika Fischer & Band" a formative album of the GDR pop appeared on AMIGA in 1976. Between melodic rock and rich blues, Veronika Fischer (formerly Panta Rhei) unfolds a standalone sound together with her band, carried by her distinctive voice and the sophisticated compositions and arrangements of Franz Bartzsch. Songs such as "Blues from the Last Occasion", "Auf der Wiese", "Hänschengroß" and "Piano in the River" show the musical range of the album. The texts are by Kurt Demmler, Ingeburg Branoner and Bettina Wegner. With "Halt an" and "Guten Tag", the album also contains two pieces from the DEFA feature film "Hostess". In addition to the ingenious Franz Bartzsch, who in addition to composition and arrangement also contributed piano, fender piano, synthesizer, moog bass and mellotron, Eckhard Kremer on bass, Frank Hille on drums and vocals as well as Eberhard Struch on guitar. Helmar Federowski sat at the studio controls. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the album "Veronika Fischer & Band" is now released for the first time as a limited coloured vinyl reissue in the original Amiga design, supplemented by additional picture and text material.
