Vipassana Ii Vinyl

Eric Harland has been described as the most "in-demand drummer" of his generation, and the numbers tell the story. Harland has appeared on over 500 albums, earned multiple Grammy nominations, and is consistently recognized by major music press publications. Beyond the quantity is the quality and the breadth; Eric Harland has experienced music in many forms, in many cultures, in real time. Eric Harland's process continues with 'Vipassana II,' an observation-based, self-exploratory journey, rooting the mind and body together in order to dissolve mental impurities and chaos. The desired result is to discover a balanced mind, full of love and compassion, for yourself and the rest of the world. In writing and playing this music, Eric was able to deepen the interconnection between mind and body. "The 'Vipassana' series is a musical exploratory expression of living this life enveloped by a strong musical culture and community. The good, the bad, the relaxed. It's all processed within these notes and rhythms, which is carried out by me and a handful of close friends, also on their own roads to self-discovery." - Eric Harland
