"Waves was born from a journey—physical, emotional, and existential. Burnt out and disillusioned, I left everything behind, wandering through Europe with no plan. In Barcelona, I began writing freely, untethered from expectations. The songs reflect that rawness, shaped by moments of solitude, heartbreak, and discovery. A ten-day fast in total darkness forced me to confront myself, leading to an acceptance of life’s cycles—ups and downs, light and dark, all one.The album captures that rhythm, interwoven with sound collages from my travels—prayers in Essaouira, blacksmiths in Porto, street singers in Spain. It’s a time capsule of experience, a signal sent out into the void. If you’re listening, maybe it found its other half.
