Whiplash Roar Limited Edition Vinyl

ROAR is the new ten-track album from legendary thrash metal force WHIPLASH, delivering an explosive combination of speed, aggression and precision. The record captures the band's signature blend of velocity and venom while bringing their classic sound into the present with a sharper, modern edge.Fronted by founding guitarist and vocalist Tony Portaro, WHIPLASH channel the raw energy that has defined their music for decades through punishing riffs, relentless rhythms and uncompromising songwriting. Rather than relying on nostalgia, ROAR builds upon the band's legacy while pushing their sound forward, retaining the intensity and directness of classic thrash metal with a powerful contemporary production.Recorded at Studio Mozart, Concrete Island Studio and Jamie King Audio, ROAR was produced by Tony Portaro and mixed and mastered by Jamie King. The album was conceived to capture the visceral energy of WHIPLASH's live performances while also showcasing Portaro's evolution as a songwriter and musician.Across ten tracks, ROAR moves with the urgency and physical impact at the core of the band's identity. Songs such as "Sonic Asylum", "Bullet Train" and "Who Stole My Whiskey" combine precision, speed and heavy riffing with the kind of immediate energy designed for the mosh pit.As Portaro explains, "ROAR isn't nostalgia — it's resistance. It is the sound of survival through distortion." The album stands as both a continuation of WHIPLASH's history and a statement of intent: authentic thrash metal built to hit hard, evolve and endure.
