Your Space, Your Story A creative guide to personal interiors

A holistic, creative and practical guide for making your home feel unique to you. This book is designed to help you explore what home means to you, and how you can express this in your daily life and space, wherever that may be, from a four-storey house to a room in a shared flat, or even a place you have yet to find. Based on and expanded from author Java Bere’s popular Tell the Story of Your Home workshops, this is a beautifully illustrated book that provides a wealth of inspiration. Your Space, Your Story contains a series of prompts and exercises to help you delve deep into your psyche to discover how to honour your living space and create a home that is intensely personal, reflecting everything about you. It isn’t about employing interior designers or spending lots of money, it’s about curating the objects you already have and carefully considering what you bring in. You’ll be creating moodboards, learning styling techniques, sketching, making notes, lists and plans, creating music playlists and doing a lot of thinking. Many of the exercises are ones you can carry into every area of your life, not just the design of your home. Perfect for anyone struggling with the overwhelm of styling their space or looking for a spark of creative inspiration, this book will equip you to create a deeply personal home that not only looks beautiful but proclaims your personality to the world.
