A Galloway Year is a book that celebrates Galloway’s landscapes and wildlife - from the vast, muddy Solway to the woods and farms, the rushing burns, silver lochs and heather-clad hills. Those who live here know that Galloway has its own unique charm and character. A Galloway Year has been written by an artist and a naturalist who found their way to this forgotten corner of Britain. Our landscapes are under increasing pressure. Galloway has fared better than much of Britain, holding on to more than its share of countryside rich in wildlife. But here too, the more-than-human world is being pushed into ever-smaller remnants of wilder land.
