Elite guards, checkpoints, drones, disappearance of people and secret camps are all there to construct a realistic culture of fear which resonates with today wars and policing in too many countries.The story starts at the races, and carry on to the campfires, and then to Jerrett's home and to his shop named JN Cycles, a roomy two-bay garage with large show room attached ,then to the mountains following a catastrophe at a Rally, with some complications on the road and a rescue at a secret camp. Jerrett is a normal guy, a family man not involved in politics. How will he protect his family? Will he have to join the militia?
