The Inner Work of Leading in a Broken System

“Christy Honeycutt doesn't offer another shallow leadership framework. She demands the harder work.” —Laurie Ruettimann, author of Betting on You A guide to reclaiming your agency and alignment while leading within systems that weren’t built for your spirit. The system isn’t just broken. It’s making us sick. We’ve been sold a lie: If we just work harder, assimilate faster, and perform better, we’ll eventually find fulfillment. But for the exhausted overachiever, the reward for winning the rat race is usually burnout, chronic illness, or a total loss of self. Christy Honeycutt knows this cost intimately. As a Native woman navigating the high-pressure worlds of global tech and top consulting firms, she did everything “right”—until her body began to revolt. Between the physical toll of alopecia and the mental weight of a toxic corporate culture, she realized that the traditional leadership playbook was missing the one thing that actually matters: your aliveness. The Inner Work of Leading in a Broken System is a survival and revival guide for The New Workforce—and reclaiming your agency within it.
