Making Scrappy Puzzle Balls Pretty Patchwork Projects from Leftover Fabric

This is a complete guide to constructing geometric fabric spheres from interlocking pentagons and hexagons — one of quilting's most beloved 3D projects and a perennial favorite as a handmade gift, holiday ornament, home décor accent, or soft toy for babies. Master quilter and fabric designer Jinny Beyer presents ten designs with complete step-by-step directions and colour diagrams showing exactly how to construct and colour each project. Easy-to-use templates take the math out of even the most complex designs, enabling crafters to achieve dazzling patchwork patterns that match up beautifully — without advanced geometry skills. These are the perfect projects for your scrap basket. Small in scale but stunning in result, puzzle balls use up fabric odds and ends that are too good to throw away, transforming leftover strips and squares into something genuinely impressive. Make a dozen in an afternoon and have gifts ready for every occasion.
